Perak Delights (2): Taiping Lake Garden & Taiping Zoo Night Safari

The oldest lake garden in Malaysia: Taman Tasik Taiping.
The following picture is the proof. The scenic view never failed me to admire this lake. I was excited with the trees shape, it was like enjoying the art painting work from great artist.

This lake is very suitable for photoshoot, name it, wedding photoshoot, pre-wedding, post wedding, honeymoon, preggy mom, family photoshoot,etc..

At the opposite side, we tried a swan riding.

At night, we went to the oldest zoo in Malaysia: Taiping Zoo

Haha..we spend our day going to the oldest place in Malaysia..(but we are still young okay,just for the memories sake)

So, i thought the student rate for ticket fares can be utilized (I am student). Unfortunately, the student rate only for International Student. I said to the ticketing officer "Huh, diskriminasi!" (but in joke tone). She only replied, "Bukan akak yang buat dik.."

They also asked if we came from Taiping, surely we not.

While waiting for our safari, my hubby and the pakcik2 conversed about the fares for Taiping resident. Oh, i just knew why the ticketing officer ask where we came from. It was because the Taiping residents got special discounted ticket.

We also got acquainted with a family there, which was like us, originated from Peninsula, but earn rezki at Borneo. They came from Sibu. Only three possible job you can guess for people like us going to Borneo; engineer, army or teacher. They guess my hubby is an army,erm..he look like army but definitely not one. We guess the husband is an engineer. Of course it was right. I knew it already just looking at their expensive and branded clothes and the way they speak to their childrens..Haha..terer tak saya..?! ;-p

Also, the Taiping Zoo have a kiosk selling popcorns, drinks, junk foods and so on. I heard most of the tourist compare the Taiping Zoo with Malacca Zoo which also have night safari.

I'm unable to take any pictures of cute animals there, my camera did not cooperative enough. It was very dark and black

At the end of safari, I found a small kiosk which selling numerous hand-made fridge magnet. Very tempting but i didnt buy any.

Comparing the night safari in Taiping Zoo and Malacca Zoo, i prefer Taiping Zoo. Although the fares is in similar exact price, riding a zoo train in Taiping Zoo seems longer in both time and distance.
